Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Viking Battles ("we", "us") for the Viking Battles game and this website. By playing the game you accept them. If you don't accept them, don't play.

The game

Viking Battles is an online game: it needs an internet connection, and our server plays out every battle. The game is still being made. We may change, add or remove features, content and balance at any time, reset progress when an update needs it, or stop running the game.

Your account

• The game creates a guest account for you and keeps its sign-in on your device. If you remove the game or lose the device, you may lose the account, and we may not be able to restore it.
• You are responsible for what happens on your account.

Player names

Other players see your player name. Don't choose a name that is offensive or hateful, pretends to be someone else, or advertises anything. We may change or remove such names.

Fair play

You agree not to:

• play with bots, scripts or any other automated means;
• cheat, exploit bugs, or modify, decompile or reverse engineer the game or its network traffic, except where the law allows it;
• overload, attack or disrupt our servers or other players' games;
• sell, buy or hand over accounts.

We may suspend or delete accounts that break these rules.

Cards and other in-game items

Cards, packs, leagues, ratings and other in-game items are part of the game, not property. They have no money value, can't be exchanged for money and may change as the game changes. The game has no purchases. If purchases come later, their terms will be shown to you before you buy.

Our content and yours

We own the game, including its art, sound, code and names. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence, which we may withdraw, to play it for your own entertainment.

What you create in the game, such as your player name and villages, stays yours. You allow us to store it and show it to other players as part of the game, for example as a ghost.

App stores

If you got the game from Google Play or the Apple App Store, that store's terms apply as well.

If you got it from the Apple App Store: these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the game or its content, has no duty to maintain or support it, and is not responsible for any claims about it, including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You must also follow the App Store's usage rules.

No warranty

The game is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we don't promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or that your progress will be kept.

Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data or progress, that come from using the game. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that the law doesn't let us limit.

Ending

You can stop playing and delete your account at any time: open Settings from the menu and tap Delete account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, and we may stop running the game for everyone, telling you in the game or on this website first where we can.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply.
